Thomas Favoring Florida State

Florida State made a huge impression on power forward Charles Thomas during his official visit last weekend. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Thomas from Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi spoke glowingly about the trip.
“It went real good,” he said. “They have put millions of dollars into their facilities. Just the practice gym was the size of my school. The technology down there is wild. It is hard to put into words.”

Thomas, the No. 67 player in the Rivals150, still lists Oklahoma, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State, and Ole Miss, with a new addition of Arkansas, as the schools he is considering.
“Arkansas is coming in for a visit,” he said. “I am considering them, but they are not up there with Oklahoma and Florida State.”
Thomas plans to officially visit Oklahoma on Sept.20. He previously spent time on their campus when he attended basketball camp there.
Before the Florida State visit, Oklahoma and Florida State were running neck and neck to land Thomas. Now the Sooners will have to play catch up.
“On a scale of one to ten, I would give Florida State a ten,” Thomas said. “Florida State is in the lead right now.”
