This Guy Can Shoot It

Jimmy Goffredo, a 6-0, 165-pound combo guard from Crescenta Valley High School in Crescenta, California, was instrumental in the LA Rockfish' berth in the finals of the Three Stripes Tournament this past weekend at Hofstra University.
Goffredo is a heady combo who is lethal from three-point range. He is a natural shooting guard who possesses a good deal of court savvy and a high basketball IQ. Goffredo is comfortable shooting off the dribble or catching and shooting. He defended well throughout the tournament and was active on both ends of the floor.

Goffredo has heard thus far from Princeton, Yale, Loyola Marymount, Davidson, Pacific, and American. He does not have any offers yet. Goffredo has taken unofficial trips to Loyola Marymount and Pacific.
Goffredo, who averaged 23 points and 6 assists for his high school team this past season, will compete with the Rockfish at The Las Vegas Big Time Tourney and the Best of Summer tourney in his home state. Jimmy carries a 4.35 weighted grade point average on a 4.0 scale, and has scored 1320 on SAT.
Goffredo's size will likely scare off some suitors, as he may be a shade under 6'0'', in reality. Regardless, we loved his play at Three Stripes. Irrespective of his size, Goffredo is a lights-out shooter with a lot of savvy and know-how. He sports a well-rounded game, and would be a terrific find for an Ivy or Patriot type school, but is definitely a higher level player.
