These Visits Will Help Langford Decide

One of the top players left on the board in the Class of 2004 is Kevin Langford, the lanky 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward from North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Langford is still being sought after by some high-major programs, and he'll be making an official visit this weekend - way out on the West Coast.

"He's going to Cal on a visit this Saturday," said North Crowley head coach Tommy Brakel. "He'll have one visit after that and it will be to either Seton Hall or Purdue."

Brakel noted all three schools are extremely interested in Langford, and that Cal and Seton Hall have offered. UCLA, whom Langford visited back in November, has not been in contact with the young forward since and may have gone in another direction. Stanford and Virginia, whom Langford both previously visited, are no longer in the picture.

Don't look for Langford to make any decision until he's finished with all his trips.

"After he gets through with his visits, he'll go ahead and verbally commit," said Brakel.

So far this season, Langford is averaging 18.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, and four blocks a contest, while helping lead North Crowley to a 27-2 overall record and a number two ranking in the state for 4A schools.
