The End Is Nearing For Farmar

Jordan Farmar, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard from Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California is nearing the end of his recruitment.
Four schools remain on Farmar's list and he has scheduled two visits in the month of May. After the completion of those visits, a decision about his future could be made.

“I’ve narrowed my list of schools down to four. I’ll make a decision between Florida, UCLA, Gonzaga and Arizona,” Farmar said. “I’m taking an unofficial visit to UCLA on May 10th and an official visit to Florida on May 16th.
“I’ve already visited Arizona and Gonzaga, so the trips to UCLA and Florida will be my final two trips,” he added.
One school in particular was hoping to get more involved with Farmar, but he decided to close his list and make a decision between the foul schools.
“The coaching staff from Kansas contacted me and tried to get involved with me,” he said. “I really like Kansas, but I wanted to play for Coach Williams. He left for North Carolina so playing for him is no longer possible.
“The new staff at Kansas was very honest with me and I appreciate that, but I’ve made a decision to close my list,” he added.
There is a possibility that Farmar could have a decision about his future when he arrives home from his official visit to Florida, or he could wait until the end of the summer before a decision is made.
He’s going to take his time with this and not making any quick decisions.
“As soon as I’m ready to make a decision I’ll select a school,” he said. “I’m not in a big rush to get the process over with and I’ll make a decision based on what I feel is the best fit for me.”
Farmar was scheduled to be in Lawrence, Kansas on May 2-4 to take part in the Jayhawk Invitational, but he scratched his name from the list. He’s been extremely busy lately and needs to put a little more focus into his academics.
