Texas Swingman Picks The Big 12
Justin Loewe, a 6-4, 195 pound swingman from Caldwell (TX) High School verbally committed to Texas A&M, according to his father and high school coach, Dusty.
"The Aggie coaching staff has been really great -- especially Head Coach Melvin Watkins and Tom Billeter," the elder Loewe said. "We live about 30 minutes away and Justin has got to know his future teammates in pickup games."

"Baylor and SMU were also in there," he added. "Justin wanted to stay in Texas and play in the Big 12 so that hurt SMU." Loewe had also seen interest from Okalahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Rice.
"And to be honest the recruiting was getting old," Dusty noted.
Loewe was named to the Class 5A All-State Boys Basketball second team following his junior season where he averaged 24.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Ths rising senior plans to major in kinesiology with a goal of a coaching career.
