Texas ropes in-state power forward

There wasn't that much doubt that Connor Lammert was going to stay in the state of Texas.
However, there was some question about exactly which school the 6-foot-9 power forward from San Antonio (Texas) Churchill would pick.

The skilled four man was pursued heavily by virtually every local program and his older brother is a walkon at Texas Tech. But, in the end it was Rick Barnes and the Texas Longhorns who were able to secure his verbal.
The decision was confirmed by Lammert with Rivals.com via text message but the senior said that he would be conducting media interviews at another time.
A bit of a late bloomer who is somewhat young for the senior class, Lammert is a skilled three-star prospect who came on during the summer with the Texas D1 Ambassadors.
Lammert joins a class that already includes local five-star big man Cameron Ridley and four-star point guard Javan Felix.
