Texas lands four-star guard

Earlier this week, the Texas backcourt suffered a loss when sophomore guard Sheldon McClellan announced that he would transfer out of the program. The Longhorns wasted little time in filling his spot.
Saturday afternoon, 6-foot-4 guard Kendal Yancy-Harris from Richardson (Texas) Berkner announced via Twitter that he would be joining the Longhorns.
"It's official, committed to be a UT Longhorn," Yancy-Harris tweeted.
A four-star prospect who ranks No. 109 in the 2013 Rivals150, Yancy-Harris signed with USC in the fall. However, the Trojans relieved Kevin O'Neill of his duties and Yancy-Harris ended up back on the market.
Primarily a point guard on the high school level, Yancy-Harris has the size and versatility to help Texas in many ways. He can handle the ball, he defends well and he plays a low-risk and efficient style of basketball that his future coaches should appreciate.
Yancy-Harris is the third perimeter player to join the Longhorns' 2013 class. Already on board are ultra-athletic four-star shooting guard Demarcus Croaker and in-state three-star point guard Isaiah Taylor
