It isn't as if Myles Turner began hitting the road this spring as a total unknown. Still, his reputation has been growing rapidly and the junior is enjoying the process.

Thanks to a growth spurt, Turner has sprouted to nearly 6-foot-11. The Euless (Texas) Trinity big man is growing just as rapidly as a player.
"I've really stepped up my defense a lot," Turner told Rivals.com. "My timing on blocking shots, I've always had it but I've really been working on it over the past two summers so I've really stepped it up."
Turner has good shoulders and strong hands, and he plays under control. He can face the rim and shoot and finishes with either hand, but he is looking to be more of a power broker.
"I think I need to work on more of my back-to-the-basket game," Turner said, "as far as banging on the bigger people and the stronger people, because I'm going to see that a lot at the next level."
Given his growth over the last year and size 21 feet, Turner may still be growing. As he has gotten bigger, Turner has adjusted to his new frame and seen benefits.
"I'm able to finish over people now, and that's a big advantage for me," he said. "When I'm driving to the lane, it doesn't matter who is on me because I can stretch over the defense with my length."
A four-star prospect who ranks No. 78 nationally, Turner is poised to make a sizable move up the rankings. Colleges are taking notice.
There are plenty more than those programs, and Turner is in no hurry to cut things down. He and his family are enjoying the process of recruiting and want to make sure they look into all of their options.
"I'm really just enjoying it right now," Turner said. "Not everybody has the luxury of this right here."
