Texas Big Man Names Three

Center/power forward Joseph Jones from Normangee High School in Normangee, Texas has narrowed his list of schools to Texas A&M, Houston, and Kansas.
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Jones said none of the three standout as a favorite. He did, however, comment on what he liked about each of the schools:

“Texas A&M plays in a real good conference against great teams. They don’t have a big man, and I could try to step into that spot.”
“Houston needs a big man as well.”
“Kansas is a great all around school that plays in a strong conference. They always compete for a national championship.”
Jones, the No. 12 ranked center in the Rival150, will visit Kansas on Oct. 17. Already being familiar with the two home state schools, he may or may not take official visits to Texas A&M and Houston.
Although primarily a center in high school, Jones will likely play the power forward position at the next level.
“They are recruiting me to be a power forward,” he said. “I am working on my jumping and outside shot. In the post I am working on a left hand jump hook and facing up to the basket.”
Academically, Jones has a 3.6 GPA but has yet to take the ACT or SAT
