Texas back in the mix for Arthur

Just when it looked like Texas had all but been eliminated from the Darrell Arthur sweepstakes, the Longhorns have been added back to his list. Now that Arthur's final list of schools is complete, the No. 19 ranked player in the class of 2006 is in the process of scheduling some official visits.
"Texas is back on Darrell's list and Illinois has been dropped," said South Oak Cliff High School head coach James Mays. "We had not heard from the Illinois coaching staff in a long time, so we felt that it would be best to drop them from the list, and add Texas back on."

Arthur, the No. 4 ranked power forward in the class, is in the process of scheduling official visits to each of the remaining schools on his list. He is only allowed to take five official visits, so one of the schools on his list will likely receive an unofficial visit from the 6-foot-9, 220-pound power forward.
"We definitely have a visit set to Kansas during the weekend of October 15," said Mays. "It looks like Darrell will be visiting North Carolina at the end of September and Baylor during the third weekend in September. We hope to have everything finalized within the next week or so."
Very athletic, Arthur has the size and skill base as well to be a combo forward at the highest level. Capable of dominating the glass, Arthur can, however, play too passive at times. -Jerry Meyer
