Texas AM Likes Lefty Forward

Jermaine Johnson, a skilled 6-6, 240 pound big forward from Redemption Christian Academy in Troy, New York, is a member of the class of 2004 who impressed Rivalshoops.com this past weekend at The Boys Club Tournament in New York City.
Johnson is a crafty southpaw who can score with his back to the basket or facing the hoop. He has a burly frame that helps him to muscle in on the glass. While not tremendously athletic, Jermaine can play above the rim and is slippery in the low post.

Johnson's most serious suitor at this point is Texas A&M. While he said he is hearing from other schools, the Big 12 program, who has snagged several alums from Johnson's AAU program, Inland, based in California, is keeping tabs on him.
Johnson, a native of Hacienda Heights, California, played last season at Trinity Pawling School in Pawling, New York for Coach Bill Casson, where he averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Jermaine had previously attended Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights, CA.
The well-mannered Johnson competed this past summer with The Inland AAU program, and plans to do the same this summer.
