One of the premier scorers in the state of Texas has made an early decision. Four-star shooting guard Chris Harris is off the board to Texas A&M.

A 6-foot-2 junior at Garland (Texas) South Garland who ranks No. 85 nationally, Harris announced his commitment via Twitter on Tuesday.

Powerful, compact and a lethal jump shooter, Harris is a smooth bucket-getter who plays with controlled aggression on the offensive end. He gets to his spots, he doesn't waste motion and he's got confidence from deep and with the mid range game.

The Aggies will be losing former four-star prospect Admon Gilder after next season and Harris is a perfect replacement. Selling Harris on how much he'll be used like Gilder and the open minutes was a big part of Billy Kennedy and his staff's recruiting pitch.

Harris is the second guard from Texas in the class of 2019 to commit to the Aggies. He joins Rivals150 point guard Sahvir Wheeler from Houston as an early pledge.
