Terwilliger Nears Decision

Matt Terwilliger,a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward from Troy High School in Troy, Ohio is getting close to making one of the biggest decisions of his life. One week ago, Notre Dame pulled their scholarship offer and, because of that, Cincinnati and Ohio State are the two finalists for Ohio native.
“I’m getting a lot closer to making a decision about what school I will attend,” Terwilliger said. “This has been a real tough process for me, but it should be over soon. I leave for Xavier’s team camp tomorrow and will be back on Saturday (June 21).”

It appears that Cincinnati might be the team to beat for Terwilliger. Future Bearcat Jamar Butler and Terwilliger are the best of friends, so that could quite possibly be the deciding factor.
“Jamar and I are real good friends,” he said. “Actually, he is my best friend. We spend a lot of time together, especially in the summer because we play for the same AAU team.”
These last few weeks have not been easy for Terwilliger, but he is ready to make a decision and move on. He has a busy summer planned and would like to enjoy his travels as much as possible.
“I really do like both schools and I don’t consider either one of them as being my leader,” he said. “It could come down to a gut feeling I have inside of me and which school I feel more comfortable about.”
Aside from his trip to Xavier, Terwilliger will attend in the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, Indiana, Adidas Big Time in Las Vegas, Nevada and a tournament in Los Angeles at the end of the summer.
