Terps Ready To Grab Another

Darryl Strawberry, Jr., a 6-4 to 6-5 swingman from Mater Dei High School in California, stated he had a great visit to Maryland this past weekend. "It was real nice," Strawberry, Jr. told us tonight. "I had a great time seeing the campus. It was the first time I had been to Maryland. I enjoyed hanging out with the players and watching the football game."

Strawberry, Jr. said he is leaning to making a decision this week. "I have to speak to the coaches again," Strawberry, Jr. disclosed. "I am leaning to Maryland after my visit. So I am leaning to giving Maryland a commitment."

Strawberry, Jr. told us he is also considering several other schools but Maryland apparently is in the drivers seat. Southern California, Pepperdine, and Kansas have been previously mentioned by Strawberry. "Maryland has offered me," Strawberry, Jr. said. "So it's really up to me whether to make the decision. I think I will have one soon."
