Tennessee adds second Rivals150 member from 2014

The Tennessee Volunteers are on the board with their second Rivals150 player in the class of 2014.
Cuonzo Martin and his staff thought that they were doing well with Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater athlete Philip Cofer.

However, it turns out they were doing even better than they thought. In a bit of a surprise for the timing, not so much the decision, the No. 141 player in the class of 2014 popped for the Volunteers on Tuesday.
One of the elite run-and-jump athletes in the rising senior class, Cofer is a high-motor player who crashes the glass with abandon. He runs the floor, plays above the rim in traffic and has the kind of toughness that is coveted by Martin and his staff.
Cofer needs to develop his touch, and the 6-foot-8 he's listed at could be generous. However, he's an SEC athlete who does all the little things and will likely be loved by his teammates.
A three-star prospect, Cofer joins fellow three-star prospect Jordan Cornish as an early commit to the Vols. A strong shooting guard from New Orleans, Cornish also ranks in the Rivals150, checking in at No. 131.
