Taylor waiting for first offer

Chris Taylor, the 6-foot-7, 205-pound small forward from Wayzata (MN) High School will spend the spring and summer traveling with the Howard Pulley AAU organization. There is no doubt that Taylor is being recruited to play at the high-major level, but he is hoping that somebody steps up with a scholarship offer.
"A lot of schools from the Big Ten and Ivy League are recruiting me," said Taylor. "I am not even close to making a decision about a school. Cornell, Yale, Brown, Miami-FL, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan are some of the programs that I am hearing from.

"I don't have any scholarship offers yet, but hopefully that will happen soon," he added. "I have taken unofficial visits to Minnesota and Wisconsin and both of those places were very nice. I am going to visit Cornell in June. I don't know if I will use all five official visits, but it doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. It would be nice to take all five and make the best decision."
Taylor, who will spend the spring and summer running with Howard Pulley, is also being recruited by the likes of Cincinnati, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Arkansas-Little Rock and San Diego, is hoping to make a name for himself during the AAU circuit.
Having played in just one tournament so far, Taylor is ready to get out on the road and take care of business on the court.
"I have played in just one tournament so far," said Taylor. "We played out in Dallas and had a good time. I feel that I played well, but I am ready to start playing again. We are going to play in the Sabes Tournament this weekend and we are excited about that.
"My teammates and I will be in Lawrence next weekend for the Jayhawk Invitational," he added. "That is another event that we are excited about. I just hope to keep playing good basketball and I am hopeful that my first offer will come soon."
