Taylor is headed to Marquette

When one door closes, another door opens. That's what happened with Marquette as the Big East program tried to find the next talented guard prospect.
Tom Crean and his staff secured a plege from New Jersey guard Tyshawn Taylor on Monday night, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Taylor, a Rivals150 prospect from the famed St. Anthony program in Jersey City, also considered Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
"I felt like I've been knowing where I've wanted to go like since Saturday, Sunday night," he told Todd Rosiak of the Journal-Sentinel. "I just wanted to come home and get my coach's blessings and my family's blessings, and I got that. So I feel refreshed and comfortable now, and I know I made the right choice."
Marquette lost out on Iman Shumpert last week and focused their efforts hard on Taylor in the last seven days. The Big East school had been involved with the Rivals150 guard prior to the Shumpert commitment as well.
