Taylor drawing suitors

2011 prospect TJ Taylor of Oakland (Calif.) High School committed to Santa Clara during his sophomore season. Recently Taylor reopened his recruitment and a number of schools have inquired.
"I was very young when I committed as a sophomore," said Taylor. "Now that I realize better what is going on, I want to take a step back and look at things again."

Plenty of schools plan to take a look at Taylor, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound scoring point guard. According to Taylor's travel team coach Raymond Young of the Oakland Rebels, BYU, New Mexico, Nevada, Tulsa, UTEP, Nebraska, San Diego State, Weber State, South Florida, SMU, UC Davis and Portland have all called.
Averaging 22 points, four assists and two rebounds per game, Taylor has the tools to create scoring opportunities for his team.
"He is physically strong and finishes around the rim," said Young. "He also has a knack for creating for his teammates. What makes him special, though, is his ability to score."
