Tate Has Some D-1 Interest

Tony Tate, a 6'0'' 180 pound point guard from Globe Institute of Technology in New York City, has elicited some Division I attention this winter.

Tate is a lefthander who is crafty off the dribble on the offensive end. He is a tenacious on-the-ball defender with good quicks.
Tate, who originally enrolled at Pittsburgh but redshirted as a freshman there, will have three years of eligibility at the Division I level. Tony, who originally played at St. Anthony's in Jersey City, New Jersey before finishing up his high school career at Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey, is scoring at a 24 point per game clip. He is also one of the top assist men in NJCAA Region XV in Division I.
