Tasmin Mitchell Makes A Decision

Just when it looked like Tasmin Mitchell would take his time with the recruiting process, the 6-foot-7, 220-pound pound small forward has made a decision about his future. The No. 11 ranked player in the class of 2005 made the announcement just moments ago inside the Denham Springs High School library. There was a time when Mitchell indicated that he might not make a decision until the late period, but that is no longer the case.
"I would like to thank God for helping me with this decision," Mitchell said. "Next season I will be playing basketball for LSU. I talked it over with my family and decided that this was the best decision for me.

"I also talked to coaches from LSU and Kentucky," he added. "After narrowing down my list of schools last week, I just felt that LSU was the best place for me. I would like to thank my family for being so supportative of me during this time."
Mitchell, the No. 3 ranked small forward in the class of 2005 had originally planned to take official visits to both LSU and Kentucky. However, after taking it over with family and friends, and thinking a great deal about his future, the Louisiana native realized that LSU was the place he wanted to be.
Mitchell is scheduled to take an official visit to LSU during the weekend of September 10.
