Tar Heels top early 2013 team rankings

The Big Ten is off to a fast start in its 2013 recruiting. The conference is represented by six teams in the top 15 of the Rivals.com 2013 National Team Recruiting Rankings. That is twice as many as any other conference. Michigan leads the way at No. 2, Purdue at No. 4, Illinois at No. 5, Indiana at No. 6 and Ohio State at No. 12.

The top spot nationally goes to North Carolina, who has two recruits ranked in the top 25 of the Rivals150. The only other ACC team in the rankings is Duke at No. 11.
The Big East and the SEC both have three teams each represented in the top 15.
Only Kansas represents the Big 12.
The Pac-12 doesn't have a representative in the rankings, and UNLV represents the Mountain West.
