Tar Heels Still Lead For Tangara

The 9th Annual Kingwood Classic in Houston, Texas is loaded with many of the nation’s top prospects for the class of 2004. One player that has stood out is Mount Zion Christian Academy star forward Mohamed Tangara.
The 6-foot-9, 230-pounder, who is originally from Mali, Africa has only lived in the United States for three years and continues to learn the game. However, there is no questioning his athleticism and potential. Tangara is a raw and athletic pure low post player with a brilliant future.

Tangara said that he currently favors Michigan, Arizona, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Arkansas and North Carolina.
“North Carolina is probably my overall favorite. They were before the coaching change,” he said. “Since the change I have decided to re-evaluate the situation but they are still the favorite. I’m thinking about committing at the Nike Camp this summer.”
