Tangara Visits Michigan Likes Louisville

Power forward Mohamed Tangara from Mali, West Africa is taking an unofficial visit on the Michigan campus today. Yet, the Mt. Zion Christian Academy (N.C.) star does not list the Wolverines as one of his top school.
Depending on how the unofficial visit goes, the list may change, but it is doubtful that the school to beat will change. The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Tangara continues to list Louisville without hesitation as his favorite.

“My dream is to play in the NBA, and Coach Pitino does an excellent job of developing players for the NBA,” asserted Tangara. “Louisville is the one school that I have already unofficially visited, and I liked it very much.”
In September Tangara plans to officially visit Miami, Memphis, Arizona, and Florida. All four of these schools, along with Louisville, have offered a scholarships to Tangara, the No. 35 ranked player and No. 11 ranked power forward in the Rivals150.
Tangara is known for his prowess on the defensive end as a relentless rebounder and as a formidable inside presence. Yet, concerning his development this summer, Tangara stated, “My offensive moves have improved. I have been working a lot on them, and they are much better than last year. I am also working on being a more effective player around the top of the key.”
Known also for his work ethic, the athletic Tangara has the potential for vast improvement on his already solid game. He is the type of player that could help one of these schools raise a banner as a dominating senior.
