Talented PG Verbals

Oh, many didn't think this was going to happen. Chris Paul, a 6-1, 165-pound point guard from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, committed to Wake Forest today, according to Chris' mom.
"He is very excited," Chris' mom said. "We are all very excited. Now we are going to celebrate his 17th birthday."

Paul had recently taken a visit to Wake Forest. "He had a very good visit there and liked everyone," Chris' mom said.
It was only a few weeks ago that Paul worked out tonight for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Paul was offered. But Wake won the battle.
Paul averaged 26 points and 8.7 assists as a junior this past year for his high school team. "I think I improved my speed and quickness," Paul said. "I will continue to work on that this spring and summer."
Paul also considered NC State, Connecticut, Tennessee, Stanford, Clemson, and UNCC. He has over a 3.5 GPA and has scored almost a 1000 on his SAT. "I would like to study computer science in college," Paul said. "My parents wouldn't let me play if I didn't get good grades."
