Talented Lead Guard Has Some Offers

Lanny Smith, a 6-2, 160 pound point guard from Hightower H.S. in Missouri City, Tex., said he has been offered scholarships by a pair of schools.
Smith told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has been offered by both Oklahoma and Texas Christian University.

In addition to those two programs, Smith said he is also interested in Florida State, Baylor, Kansas State, Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Connecticut, Oregon and Auburn.
Smith, who played with John Eurey's Houston Superstars program at the recent Kingwood Classic in Texas, impressed us with his leadership skills and floor vision.
A streaky perimeter shooter, there are times that Smith can be too unselfish.
This past season at Hightower, Smith averaged 15 points, eight assists and four steals per contest.
An excellent student in the classroom, Smith said he holds a 3.5 GPA and scored a 1080 on the SAT. Both marks would make him a full qualifier under NCAA initial freshman eligibility standards.
Smith has a busy summer ahead. He has been invited to the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey, and will attend a number of key spring and summer events with the Superstars.
After the Kingwood Classic, the Superstars' travel itinerary included pit stops in Cleveland, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
We will keep you posted on Smith's play and recruitment this summer, so keep it tuned here for the latest information.
