Sylla: Will Help Valparaiso

He says very little on the court and sometimes even less off the court. Oumar Sylla convinces you he is a pretty good basketball player by his production on the basketball court as opposed to the words he speaks during competitive action.
This past week, Sylla again produced on the court. In a tough battle with Notre Dame Prep of Massachusetts, Sylla scored 31 points, including three three-pointers. The improvement Sylla has made so far this season is his extended range. For most of last season, Sylla was outstanding within the three-point line. This season, he seems more comfortable in shooting the three-point shot.

Sylla, a skilled 6-6, 190 pound small forward from Our Savior New America H.S. in Centereach, N.Y., has always been a tough defender and a solid rebounder.
Sylla is also a very good passer. He plays hard all the time and at both ends of the court. The fans of Valpo will be happy to have Sylla aboard the next four seasons. He is a reliable player who is improving week to week with his skills.
