Swingman Ready To Rock In Big East

Good news for Seton Hall fans today. J.R. Morris scored a qualifying mark on the test and is eligible to play this Fall for the Big East team. Morris actually received his qualifying score several days ago. He wanted to have some time to enjoy it before it was announced.
Morris, a 6-4, 195 pound off guard/swingman from Milwaukee, Wis., continued to improve his game at Christian Faith Center of North Carolina this past season.

RivalsHoops.com saw Morris several times this season. Morris put his firepower on display at the Eastern Jamboree held on the campus of Seton Hall University during the winter.
Morris committed to Seton Hall on October 10, 2001. He has signed a letter of intent. If Morris straightens out his academic situation, he is likely to make an immediate impact.
When Russ Blake watched him at the St. Louis Eagles Invitational, Morris was very impressive. He led the Playground Warriors the the final four before the team bowed to a deeper Boo Williams squad.
Morris has the ability to make the difficult look easy, whether it's finishing a difficult reverse lay-in in traffic on the baseline, or exploding to dunk the ball. Morris can finish with either hand at the rim, and he's very adept shooting off the dribble and kicking the ball to open teammates when defenses sag on him.
Morris showed he can score points in bunches and score from anywhere on the court.
