Swingman Is Fully Recovered

TEANECK, NEW JERSEY -- Brett Collins, a 6-5, 200 pound swingman from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, AZ, had a good week at the adidas ABCD camp held at the Rothman Center on Fairleigh Dickinson's campus. And that was something that this athletic young man has been anticipating for over a year.
He broke his wrist and was unable to participate in summer basketball as a rising junior. Then during the season, he injured his ankle. Collins is now fully recovered; there was no indication of any limitation in his play this week.

Collins averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists at ABCD. He is a team player with good, basic skills who can score in the paint or on the perimter.
And he is an excellent student. Collins has a 3.2 GPA and scored 1090 on the SAT. He plans on majoring in business adminsitration when he gets to college.
"My recruiting is really wide open," he said. "Colorado State, Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine are recruiting me, but I'm not tied to the west coast."
Collins plays with the Arizona Stars and will be at Peach Jam, Big Time and Best of Summer later this month.
