Swift PG Makes Decision

Eric Ferguson, a very talented point guard from New York, committed to Arkansas today. He is expected to sign a letter of intent with Arkansas today. "He is a great defensive player," said his former AAU coach Gary Charles. "He also is very strong and he can get to the basket."
Ferguson completed three official visits -- to Oklahoma, DePaul and Arkansas. His last visit was to DePaul. Iowa State, Seton Hall, Providence and Rutgers were the other schools previously mentioned.

A native of Hempstead, N.Y., Ferguson first attained notoriety playing for the Long Island Panthers a few years ago. He played with both the Panthers and the Jersey Shore Cyclones last year while attending Milford Academy.
Ferguson is a tough defender and has a good eye in finding open teammates in transition. "Because of his type of play, he will bring that New York toughness of mind," Charles said. "He has heart."
