Isaiah Swann, an explosive and offensive minded 6-0, 192 pound junior point guard from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., is off to a good start for head coach Steve Smith. "He's averaging about 18 points a game," Smith told us. "He is a very talented left-handed combo guard that can do a lot of things out there."
Swann also impressed RivalsHoops.com at the Charlie Weber Invitational. Swann, who played with the D.C. Blue Devils this past weekend, was an offensive force for the Blue Devils before he had to return to Oak Hill Academy.

What makes Swann so difficult to contain is the fact that he can create his own shot. The southpaw guard is blessed with a tricky handle, although he can be a little trigger happy at times. "He is a very good offensive player," Smith said. "He can score points in bunches real quick."
Swann spent his first two high school campaigns at Magruder H.S. in Rockville, Md., prior to transferring into Oak Hill this fall.
While it's still very early in his recruiting process, Smith told RivalsHoops.com that he is considering Georgia Tech, Maryland, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, UConn, Arizona, Louisville, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee.
He said that Maryland has offered a scholarship, and he has already had the chance to unofficially visit the College Park based school, as well as the University of Tennessee.
Last year at Magruder, Swann averaged 22 points, four rebounds, three assists and six steals per game. He said he has a 2.7 GPA but hasn't yet taken the ACT or SAT.
