Goran Suton, the 6-foot-10, 250-pound center from Everett High School in Lansing, MI., will spend his college days on the campus of Michigan State, as he has given a commitment to the Spartans. Suton had recently trimmed his list of schools to four and it looked like Arizona State might be the team to beat, but that is no longer the case.

SpartanMag caught up with Suton and spoke with him about his final decision.
“I’m going to stay here, and be a Spartan,” Suton said at Everett’s Ervin Johnson Gymnasium while wearing a white Michigan State hat adorned with a green Spartan head logo.
Suton committed to Michigan State over scholarship offers from LSU, Arizona State and Dayton among others. He paid official visits to Michigan State, LSU and Arizona State.
Suton, a 6-10, 250-pound pivot, is ranked the No. 108 player in America by RivalsHoops.com.
He was slowed by a knee injury last season, but burst onto the national recruiting scene with strong showings at the Izzo Showcase team camp in East Lansing and the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey.
He joins Flint Beecher's Marquise Gray and Wyoming Park’s Drew Neitzel as MSU commitments. Gray, a 6-7 forward, is ranked No. 15 by RivalsHoops.com and Neitzel, a 6-0 guard, is No. 81 by RivalsHoops.com.
Suton said it came down to MSU and Arizona State, and the final decision was made Monday night. He made the final decision while discussing it with his coaches.
“I told (Everett assistant) Coach Watts, ‘Michigan State has done a lot for me,’” Suton said. “Izzo called me Monday night, and that’s when I told him.”
