Sullinger Still Waiting

J.J. Sullinger, a 6-6, 192-pound combo freshman guard from Arkansas, is still waiting for word on whether he will get his release from the Arkansas Razorbacks. Sullinger has indicated due to the departure of head coach Nolan Richardson he would like to find another school to play for, according to sources.
Sullinger played last season at Worthington H.S. in Worthington, Ohio. While Sullinger was at Worthington High School, schools that recruited him were Dayton, St. Joe's, Iowa, Rutgers, Houston, St. Louis, Marshall, Miami of Ohio, Northern Illinois, Colorado, Bowling Green and Ohio University.

Sullinger has ideal size for a combo guard, and he's an adept slasher who can get to the free throw line frequently. His three point shot is awkward in that he only launches it via a set shot.
He was the third leading scorer at Arkansas as a freshman averaging 10.7 points and the second ranked rebounder with 3.3 boards per game. He also averaged 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game with a 1.80 assist/turnover ratio.
Ohio State would be the favorite to land Sullinger if he comes to an agreement on his release with Arkansas. Again, as of posting this story, he has not been released.
