Stringer feeling good about SEC school

Four-star 2010 prospect Andre Stringer opened up the season with a monster scoring game of 61 points. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound point guard from Jackson (Miss.) Forest Hill High School also has a favorite school in the SEC.
Stringer mentioned North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Florida State, Oklahoma and Mississippi State, but the discussion quickly focused on a neighboring SEC school when he spoke with Rivals.com.

"I feel really good with Alabama," said Stringer. "They've made me a really firm offer. I'm not sure about committing yet, but I'm feeling really good about what they are showing me. I went to a football game and loved the atmosphere at Alabama."
Whoever lands Stringer will be getting a competitive and physical lead guard who knows how to get the ball in the basket as evidenced by his 61 point outburst in a 86-81 win.
"I got my points in the flow of the game," he said. "We were behind most of the game, and our team needed points. I didn't realize how much I was scoring, I was just trying to win the game. My shot was falling, and my coach kept telling me to shoot the ball."
Stringer, who runs with the Jackson Tigers during the travel season, doesn't plan to make a decision until after next summer's travel season.
He is the No. 93 ranked prospect in the class of 2010.
