Strickland Another Early Verbal for Wake Forest
Trent Strickland, a 6-5, 195 pound swingman/small forward from East Henderson H.S. in East Flatrock, N.C., has orally committed to Wake Forest.
Strickland is the second player in the Class of 2002 to give the Demon Deacons a verbal commitment. Last year, Wake Forest secured a very early verbal from Richard Joyce.

Virginia and a host of other programs were eyeballing Strickland this spring.
"I just felt comfortable with Wake Forest and the coaching staff," Strickland told Mike Sullivan on Friday from the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tournament of Champions. "I also wanted to play in the ACC."
Strickland is playing this weekend with the North Carolina Gaters program at the TOC.
