Stock Rising For Charles Bass

Charles Bass, a 6-9, 200-pound forward from Crete-Monee High School is Illinois, saw his stock rise after he had a solid summer. Bass performed for the Illinois Warriors at the AAU Showcase and the National AAU tournament in Lake Buena Vista, Florida last week.
"I felt very confident in my game," Bass said. "I felt with our team it was a different guy every game that we went to for a big game."

And Bass had his share. A lefty, Bass is very agile and slick along the baseline. He is thin. His body will probably fill out another 10-15 pounds and he would not lose any of his fluid motion. Bass has a nice touch from the outside too.
Despite his thin frame, he handled himself smoothly in the low post. Bass told us he is still wide open in his recruiting process. "I am still listening to schools," Bass said. "But probably by this weekend I will cut my list down."
Initially, George Washington, St. Louis, and Minnesota were his top three schools. However, some more top division one programs have gotten involved in Bass' recruiting process. This is not surprising.
Bass elevated his stock by showing the college coaches that he can score inside against top defenders and big bodies. He is athletic too and agile enough to move swiftly and smartly around players inside for easy layups.
