Stepheson to announce on Tuesday

Alex Stepheson, the 6-foot-10, 210-pound power forward from Harvard-Westlake High School in Studio City, Calif., is ready to make a decision about his future. Stepheson, the No. 57 ranked player in the class of 2006, has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PST to announce his college destination.
"Yes, Alex is conducting a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 California time to announce his decision," said Harvard-Westlake head coach Greg Hilliard. It might be a little later than that because school doesn't get out until 2:40, but our plan is to have Alex announce his decision right around 3:00."

According to Coach Hilliard, four schools remain in the hunt for Stepheson, the No. 13 ranked power forward in the class. It's believed that a decision about his future has already been made, but Stepheson and his family wanted to wait until Tuesday before announcing the decision.
"UCLA, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Connecticut are the finalists," said Hilliard. "I know that this has been a difficult decision for Alex because each of the final four schools involved in his recruitment have done such a fine job recruiting him.
Alex StephensonClick "I know Alex and his family were hoping to have a decision made by the weekend," he added. "A decision could have probably been announced today, but we wanted to make sure that the media was made aware of the announcement. We also wanted to make sure that everything was setup properly."Here to view this Link.
Alex Stepheson Scouting Report: Stepheson is a finesse style power forward who has the potential to develop into a small forward. He has good hands and feet and is quick to the ball but needs to develop more strength to consistently come up with the ball and finish in traffic. In the post he has nice spin moves either direction, although he does have the tendency to spin himself into traffic when he would be better served to shoot a simple turn around jumper. -Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com
