Stephens a hot recruit

St. Charles (Ill.) East High School prospect Kendall Stephens is becoming one of the hotter recruits in the class of 2013.
According to Stephens' travel team coach Mike Mullins of the Illinois, Duke has called on Stephens and is now in the hunt to land the 6-foot-5, 170-pound shooting guard.

Purdue head coach Matt Painter is expected to watch Stephens play tonight. Stephens' dad Everette Stephens was a standout at Purdue and NBA player himself.
Stephens, who is averaging 18 points per game on just 12 shot attempts per game, has a surprisingly mature game.
"Kendall has a 6-foot-9 wingspan and a pure stroke and smoothness to his game that belies his years," said Mullins.
Northwestern and Wisconsin have already offered Stephens.
