Steenberge Says He Has a Leader

LAS VEGAS -- On a team with high major talents like Todd Galloway and Carmelo Anthony, it's been tough for Baltimore Select's Kevin Steenberge to get his touches this week at the adidas Big Time Tournament.
But that does not mean that the 6-9, 215 pound power forward does not have a lot of college options at this juncture.

Steenberge, who attends River Hill H.S. in Clarksville, Md., told the Insiders Report this week that Richmond is currently leading for his services. The Spiders have already offered Kevin a scholarship.
In addition to Richmond, Steenberge has been offered by and is actively considering Dayton, LaSalle, St. Joseph's, Boston University, Delaware and Buffalo. Tulane and Xavier have also shown some interest.
Steenberge averaged 15 points, 15 rebounds and 6.8 blocks as a junior at River Hill. He said he has a 3.8 GPA and scored an 1170 on the SAT.
The Big Time will be Steenberge's last event this summer, as he previously had attended the Eastern Invitational Basketball Clinic earlier this month.
We'll keep you posted on his recruitment.
