Steady Baldwin drawing attention

There is nothing wrong with being consistent. Consistent players are pretty likely to make the job easier for a coach. Wade Baldwin is a consistent player.

The No. 107 player in the 2014 Rivals150, Baldwin is a 6-foot-3 shooting guard with a steady game that allows him to fit just about any style. That was evident a week ago as the Metuchen (N.J.) St. Joseph product traveled West and held his own at the Pangos All-American Camp.
"It's my first time here and I'm really excited playing against the best kids," Baldwin told Rivals.com at Pangos. "It's so prestigious and has a major history and I'm just glad to be part of it."
A solidly built kid with good athleticism, Baldwin is pretty steady in all aspects of the game. He makes open jumpers, is a good transition finisher and will give a good effort on the defensive end. Sometimes his decision-making suffers when he over-dribbles and that's something he's been working on.
"I've been really working on dribbling and making tight passes," he said. "Those are the things I've been working on and they've been working pretty well for me."
The three-star prospect has found himself the recipient of plenty of attention from high-major programs.
"The most love is probably Penn State, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall and Minnesota," he said. "I'm planning on going out sometime maybe in June if I can get out but definitely August and September."
After Baldwin gathers information on his visits, he'll take the time to look at things and balance out the strengths and weaknesses of each program. In the end, the relationship with the head coach will make the difference.
"All the schools have the great facilities and they play in big conferences," said Baldwin. "I just want a coach that I can have a good relationship with that has my back and that's mainly what I'm looking for."
