Staten back with Iowa State

It's been a topsy-turvy week for 2012 point guard Wesley Staten. In a matter of days, Staten went from Iowa State commitment to decommitted and then back to being committed to Iowa State.
On Thursday Staten, 6-foot, 155-pounds from Sioux City (Iowa) West High School, told he was opening up his recruitment. On Saturday, Staten said he is back with Iowa State.
"I sat down with my family and decided I'm still verbally committed to Iowa State," Staten said.
Staten did, however, leave open the possibility of a change of heart after this high school season.
"After thinking about it, it was a bad decision to decommit," he said. "I'm going to wait till after the season to decide what I want to do."
Staten originally committed to Iowa State prior to playing a high school basketball game.
Coming off a second team All State freshman season, Staten competed in the prestigious Nike Hoop Jamboree this summer.
