Another big guard domino will fall on Monday as top 35 ranked Elijah Weaver is all set to decide. Where's he looking? Gonzaga was among the weekend winners and much more news.

1. DECISION TIME FOR ELIJAH WEAVER

It has taken a bit longer to make a college decision than four-star Elijah Weaver initially planned, but the top 35 combo guard is ready to make his choice.

The bouncy senior with great size and the ability to play all over the backcourt is down to Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and USC and he's seen all of their campuses.

Just a few weeks ago, Weaver appeared to be all set to commit to the Trojans. Then Trojans assistant Tony Bland was arrested as part of the FBI's investigation into college basketball corruption and Weaver delayed his decision. Despite that, on decision day, the Trojans remain the favorites to land Weaver.

2. FOUR-STAR PETRUSEV LOOKS LIKE A GOOD FIT AT GONZAGA

As they seem to do on a regular basis, Gonzaga and Mark Few have found themselves a skilled International big man in Filip Petrusev.

Hailing from Serbia, Petrusev was initially committed to play at Hartford who saw his stock soar during the summer and after he opened things up.

He can shoot to the three-point line, is a pretty fluid athlete and has the frame to easily pack on more weight. He's a great get for Gonzaga and a kid we had been looking at as having potential rise in the rankings as a senior.

3. RIVALS150 FORWARD HUNT OPENS IT BACK UP

On Friday, another option opened up for high major programs in need of a combo forward with skill when Feron Hunt backed off of his commitment to TCU.

Hunt burst onto the scene during the summer showing inside out scoring ability and big upside while playing for Dallas based Urban DFW Elite.

Prior to committing to TCU, Hunt had visited Tulsa officially and had offers from Wichita State, Arkansas, Houston, Western Kentucky and others. Hunt hasn't yet announced a new timeline and is likely to see even more Big 12 and SEC-type interest.

4. FLORIDA STATE LANDS SOPHOMORE STANDOUT

Florida State got on the board early in the class of 2020 with the commitment of sophomore combo guard Naseem Khaalid.

Because he's so young, Khaalid doesn't have a huge rep or massive amounts of exposure just yet, but he has a chance to be a nice player in the ACC down the road. Khaalid is already built strong and he wields a dangerous and pure jump shot with deep range.

He's certainly got a chance to emerge as one of the top players from 2020 in the always loaded state of Florida.

5. MORE WEEKEND LIST AND COMMITMENT NOTES

• In a move that's not a huge surprise, four-star wing Talen Horton-Tucker is down to a final three of Illinois, Iowa State and Xavier. After a trip to Illinois over the weekend, Horton-Tucker has now seen each campus officially and should be in a position to make his choice. His recruitment is turning into a tight one but at least headed into his Illinois visit over the weekend we would give Xavier the slight edge.

• Rivals150 wing Keyontae Johnson has four left on his list. Florida, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech have made the final cut and he's seen all but Georgia Tech at this point. Shortly after his visit to Florida, the Gators looked to be in great shape and put a serious squeeze on Johnson. Was that push enough to get it done? For now, the Gators still look to be the favorites.

• Virginia Tech added a third piece to their 2018 class when three-star point guard Jonathan Kabongo committed on Sunday. The younger brother of former Texas point guard Myck Kabongo, he's a ball of speed and energy who loves to attack the paint. His commitment comes only a week or so after the Hokies landed four-star wing scorer Landers Nolley. Also committed is three-star wing Jarren McAllister.

• Oklahoma State reached into the state of Florida to land a developing three-star four man in Duncan Demuth. A skill player with budding athleticism and the ability to play some on the wing, Demuth is a guy that the Cowboys are counting on being a high upside guy for them.

• Nevada landed a good one in Texas power forward Vincent Lee. A high-energy player and high-volume rebounder, Lee is a good athlete with toughness who can score pretty reliability out to around 12 feet.

• Finally, Santa Clara went all the way across the country and North Carolina and stole a good one in three-star shooting guard Trey Wertz. Wertz is one of the better pure shooters on the entire East Coast and has good size to go along with his jumper. For Santa Clara to lure him all the way across the country is a big get.
