Starks Down at Howard J.C.

Eddie Starks, a 6-2, 205 pound combo guard from Howard J.C. in Big Spring, Tex., is hoping to rejuvenate his basketball this winter at the Texas junior college.
Starks came to Howard this fall after spending two years at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. He averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds last season.

Always a bit of an offensive minded lead guard, Starks prefers to break his opponent down off the dribble. He will do a lot of isolation stuff (one on one), but at times can be a risky decision maker with the basketball.
Starks enjoyed a terrific high school career at both Gompers H.S. in the Bronx, N.Y. as well as Northwest Christian H.S. in Miami.
South Alabama is one of the colleges which has shown an early interest in Starks this fall.
Starks is playing this season for Chris Jans, who has produced many Division I players in his tenure as a JUCO head coach. If Jans can help Starks make some key refinements to his game, there's little doubt that other D-I programs will come calling this winter.
Rivalshoops.com will stay on the case with Starks, so keep it here for the top JUCO recruiting coverage on the internet.
