Star PG Will Take His Time

Yes, he has offers from all the top schools in the North Carolina area. But Chris Paul, a 6-1, 165-pound point guard from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, is in no rush to make a decision.
"I am not sure when I will make a decision," Paul told us. "But I plan on doing so at least by the end of the summer."

There was plenty of excitement in Chapel Hill when the Tar Heels of North Carolina offered him a scholarship. "It was exciting," Paul said. "But I want to take my time with my decision."
Paul, who has yet to visit UNC, said he will take a look around the campus while he is there in May for the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions event.
Paul will play this summer with the Kappa Magic, a team that won four of six games and finished in second place in the silver bracket at the Boo Williams tournament this past weekend. Paul averaged 26 points and 8.7 assists as a junior this past year for his high school team. "I like the ACC," Paul said. "But there are other schools I like too and I may want to visit."
Paul told us he is interested in Wake Forest, NC State, Boston College, North Carolina, Connecticut, Tennessee, Stanford, Clemson, and UNCC. "I wouldn't mind taking a look at Stanford," Paul said. "I think it would be good to see another school out of the area."
Paul is also an excellent student. He has over a 3.5 GPA and has scored almost a 1000 on his SAT. "I am still open," Paul said. "I haven't closed my list."
