Star CA Forward To Take Trip

Harrison Schaen, a wiry 6-8, 205 pound combination forward from Mater Dei H.S. in Santa Ana, Calif., will take his second official visit this upcoming weekend to Arizona (May 3-5).
Schaen took his first official visit to Southern California a few weeks ago, from Apr. 19-21. He said he is hoping to make an official visit to Princeton and an unofficial trip to Yale in the coming weeks.

In addition to those four schools, Schaen also listed Maryland, California, Stanford and Penn.
Schaen said he plans on making a decision by early July, so that he can announce his commitment at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, Ind.
Schaen played with the Belmont Shore/H-Squad entry this past weekend at the 8th Annual Kingwood Classic in Texas. A skilled big man who looked a bit lost in the shuffle alongside a talented ensemble, Schaen had trouble finishing in traffic down low (probably attributable to his lack of strength). On the plus side, he demonstrated good passing skills and the ability to step out and face the basket.
An excellent student, Schaen said he has a 3.3 GPA and scored a 1220 on the SAT.
Schaen has a busy summer ahead, which will start in late June at the NBA Players Association Camp. He will then attend the Nike All-American Camp, and play with the Mater Dei squad at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. He will also play with Dino Trigonis' Belmont Shore program this summer.
