Star Big Man Opens Up Race

Trevor Ariza, a mobile 6-8, 200 pound power forward from Westchester H.S. in Los Angeles, Calif., is considering a plethora of college choices this spring.
One of the better junior big men on the West Coast, Ariza told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he is seriously considering Indiana, Michigan, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, St. John's, Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Louisville, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and UNLV.

When asked to name his top schools, Ariza said, "I like them all."
He did name seven schools which he felt have done the best early job in recruiting him, though he cautioned that it is not necessarily a top list of schools at this stage. Those schools are Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, USC, Louisville, Florida and Kentucky.
Ariza averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds per game for one of the top high school programs in the country. A quick power forward who could possibly make the transition to the three slot down the road, Ariza showed some increased confidence in his outside shot this past weekend at the Kingwood Classic in Texas.
Ariza played with California Team Select at the Kingwood Classic, but says he plans on playing with Pump N Run this summer. His summer plans include pit stops at the U.S. Youth Development Festival in Colorado Springs, Colo., the NBA Players Association Camp in Richmond, Va. and the adidas ABCD Camp in Teaneck, N.J.
Ariza will then tour the summer circuit with Pump N Run, which will undoubtedly play at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas as well as the Best of the Summer Tournament in California.
Ariza plans on taking the ACT for the first time in June. We'll keep you posted on his recruitment throughout the spring and into the summer, so stay tuned.
