Stanback to Wait
Small forward Freddie Stanback from Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia has decided to wait till the late signing period before making a commitment.
“I plan to sign late,” said the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Stanback. “I let all the schools recruiting me know that I was going to wait. I just never got that gut feeling about a school, and I want to see who will come after me during the season, see if a better situation comes up.”

Stanback cited early offers from Coastal Carolina and Maryland-Baltimore County, but right now he is interested in other schools.
“I like St. Bonaventure, Fordham, Tulane, and South Florida,” he said. “They have not offered me yet because they know I want to sign late. But they are recruiting me pretty hard.”
One school on Stanback’s list is particularly appealing to him.
“I am most interested in St. Bonaventure,” he said. “Basically, I know the coaching staff, and an old teammate of mine, Ahmad Smith, is playing there. I feel comfortable there. But I am wide open right now.”
