St. Pats PG looking at options

St. Anthony (N.J.) High School point guard Jermel Jenkins recently turned in a 30-page paper on his own life for a computer class at school. He's hoping to write another chapter in the next short while regarding his future college home.
The 5-foot-11 senior point guard from one of the top programs in the country is taking visits and seeing schools. He recently tripped to East Carolina and liked what he saw while on the visit.

"The visit was great. It was a good visit. It's a different speed down there. I liked everything there, the campus and the area," Jenkins said. "I thought before I went down there that the school would be in the middle of nowhere but it wasn't like that. It was nice campus with a lot of things to do around the area."
Jenkins said he is hoping to set up a visit for St. Bonaventure in October. Boston and Central Connecticut State are also very much in the picture, he said. Jenkins will take the SAT in October.
"Style of play is going to matter. I'd like to find somewhere that plays like we do at St. Pat's. We rebound and go. I go the feeling that ECU plays like that. We play a full court press on defense and I think that my style fits that the best.
"I'm going to try sign early. I'd like to have something done before our first game of the season."
