Spring Summer Is Key Time For Nick Stafford

Believe it or not, one of the toughest challenges for any coach is when he has a great deal of talent to work with during a season. Yes, it's true.
A task of finding minutes for at least 11 players who can play division one ball is a challenge for any coach. Worcester Academy head coach Mo Cassara faces that this season.

It's why a player like Nick Stafford is likely to get his most serious looks during the AAU sessions this spring and summer. Stafford is an interesting recruit. He has the build and is a great athlete. But there are skills to polish before he can be considered a high division one player.
Stafford comes off the bench for Worcester Academy. He receives playing time but will need more down the road to improve the skills that coaches look for when offering a scholarship.
Some questions that arise: a. Can Nick shoot the ball from the perimeter? b. Can Stafford finish consistently in transition. c. How tough a rebounder is Nick?
Stafford, a 6-8, 190-pound forward, has already received some serious interest from top division one programs. Among them are Maryland, Connecticut, Providence, Notre Dame, Villanova, and Boston College.
According to head coach Mo Cassara, Stafford was also watched by and has interest from Virginia, Seton Hall, Massachusetts, Hartford, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse.
Rivalshoops.com will see Stafford and Worcester play some more this season. Rivalshoops.com will give you an update then.
