Spartans nab another

The Michigan State Spartans continued their recruiting roll on Wednesday with the news of another commitment. Having now landed five pledges since July 31, the Spartans are raking in commitments, the last one coming from Matt Costello.
During the month of July one of the players who really emerged in terms of 2012 bigs was Costello. The 6-foot-9 prospect who is comfortable scoring inside and out earned an offer from Michigan State early in the month, and from that day on they were tracking him.

Along with the Spartans, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, and USC along with others offered Costello, but on an unofficial visit to campus on Wednesday evening, the Spartans were given a verbal commitment according to Dorian's Pride AAU Coach Christian Vaughn.
By committing Costello becomes the third commitment for the Spartans in the 2012 class. He joins Kenny Kaminski who committed on July 31 and Denzel Valentine who committed on August 9.
