Spalding Jumps on Tabor and Outlasts Seawolves

LEWES, Del. -- Archbishop Spalding jumped out to a 10 point halftime lead and held on for a 54-48 victory over Tabor Academy on Friday afternoon at the Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament.
Tabor never could get over the hump. The Sea Wolves pulled to within four points on a three pointer from James Parker with :33 seconds left, but it was a matter of too little, too late.

Will Bowers, a 6-11 junior center, led Spalding withy 19 points and eight rebounds, holding his own against Notre Dame bound Torin Francis. Francis was Tabor's offense on the afternoon, as he scored 17 points, hauled in 12 boards and blocked two shots.
Cory Hudson also helped Spalding's cause with nine points and nine rebounds. This game was part of the Tommy Jacobs Memorial series.
